100 Days of War
The war has continued for over 100 days, and despite some military successes for Ukraine, the scale of destruction and suffering is immense. I'm sure you've seen the news in recent days and weeks, that the war is likely to continue for the foreseeable future, so with no end in sight for millions of Ukrainians who have lost their homes and loved ones, we should continue to support them.
This painting, 'Bravery' celebrates the continuing strength and pride of the Ukrainian people. The world has seen and been inspired by countless acts of Bravery from people across Ukraine, standing up, standing together and supporting one another.
Liuda and I are flying back to Ukraine on Saturday, 11th June and we’re returning to our home in Ivanno Frankivsk. When we left there was a lot of uncertainty about how far the war would spread and we were unsure how safe our home would be. Thankfully our city, family and home are safe and we want to return and help further.
There’s a brilliant charity working locally to renovate buildings and transform them into homes for refugees. I’m launching another print to raise money and donate to the Co Haty project.
