Growing up I struggled to express my emotions. I found it very difficult to be open with others, mainly because I wasn’t open with myself and didn’t recognise a lot of what was going on in my head.

I was excited and a little nervous. Even though I have shown my art many times before, I had new pieces to hang for the first time and a larger and more discerning crowd of art lovers than ever before.
