2024 Wrapped!

This year was full of challenges and exciting opportunities. I wanted to take a moment to thank you for following and supporting my creative journey. Here are a few things I’ve learned and achieved this year.

Leaving Ukraine, where I was living with my wife, Lu, from 2021 was the biggest challenge this year. With my need to be in London regularly for my art and international travel to and from Ukraine being so difficult, we made the step to come back to London.

We had a few months of couch surfing, staying with friends and family and house/pet sitting. This has given us a lot of great memories and a strong appreciation for having our own space and the stability that provides.

I spent a fair amount of time in the spring at my parents’ house and took over their kitchen table, converting it into my pop-up studio (thanks Mum!) Another lesson here on the importance of having the best space for making and getting into the creative mindset. The kitchen table had its limits but I still managed a few new pieces here!

I took part in a number of events this year. From my regular spot at Kings Cross Canopy Market to Urban Art Brixton (pictured), and Open Art spaces’ exhibitions and markets.

Lots of amazing experiences, whilst meeting plenty of new faces and having inspiring conversations about my art and how it’s seen by others.

The show I am most proud of was being part of the 100th edition of The Other Art Fair, an exhibition I’ve applied for several times before. I’m happy to share that the show was a success, selling several pieces through the weekend and the many empowering compliments I received blew me away. I’ll be back at the next one in March!

Arguably, the most important development was in my creative practice. My skills, techniques, and styles have become more defined through constant play, experimentation, and a consistent drive to make more. This is the culmination of several years of work to find my creative voice, which I feel is stronger each year.

Ending on a high, Lu and I found a place to stay in Brixton. A beautiful little flat, which after a few months feels like home.

After a crazy and exciting year with lots of changes, I am finally looking forward to some stability and routine.

A massive thank you once again, I’m overjoyed I can share my art with the world and that people want to support me in doing so. I’ll be making and exhibiting plenty more in 2025, so expect more from me.

Wishing you a Happy New Year!
